Enterprise DPDPA Compliance & Data Governance

Aligning Legal, IT & HR for Responsible Data Governance

Is Your Organisation Treating DPDPA as a Compliance Checklist — or a Governance Priority?

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) is often viewed primarily as a legal or technology compliance requirement. In reality, effective DPDPA compliance is an enterprise-wide governance challenge that requires Legal, IT, HR, Marketing and business functions to work together within a coordinated framework.

From interpreting regulatory obligations and establishing policies to implementing operational controls, building employee awareness and ensuring accountability, every function has a role to play in responsible data governance.

This webinar will explore how organisations can move beyond siloed compliance efforts and establish a practical governance model for managing personal data responsibly throughout its lifecycle.

Before You Register

A few questions leaders may have about the session.

  • Does DPDPA compliance sit with the Legal or IT team?
Not in isolation. Effective compliance requires coordinated ownership across Legal, IT, HR, Marketing and business functions.

  • What happens when business practices and compliance requirements intersect?
A change in business practice can create legal implications, while a legal requirement may require changes to technology or processes. The session examines these cross-functional dependencies.

  • Why does HR have a role in data protection?
Employees are both users and custodians of personal data. Policies, awareness, training and accountability therefore form an important part of the organisation's data governance framework.

  • Is compliance a one-time exercise?
The governance approach discussed in the session focuses on continuously assessing risks, monitoring controls and maintaining accountability throughout the personal-data lifecycle.

  • Will participants receive a recording of the session?
Yes, the session will be recorded and shared upon request.

  • Is there a certificate of participation?
No, a certificate will not be provided for this webinar.
